About this training

The Halal Awareness Training is a compulsory course for companies seeking to obtain or maintain Malaysian Halal certification from JAKIM or any recognised Halal certification body.

This training is required every three years and must be conducted by a registered Halal training provider. All employees must attend the course, with priority given to those in the operations, procurement, and warehousing departments. As outlined in the Manual Procedure for Malaysia Halal Certification 2020 (MPPHM) or Domestic 2022, the management of a Halal-certified company must ensure that all employees receive training related to Halal practices.

This Halal Awareness Training provides participants with an introduction to the basic concepts of Halal and Tayyib, alongside best practices to be implemented during food processing to maintain the integrity of Halal within an organisation. By understanding Halal certification, employees will comprehend the importance of adhering to proper Halal practices when handling food products.
